INTERNATIONAL NEWSPAPER REPORT-Trade & Investment: CHINA (HONG KONG SAR)

On the side of the US and the UN, the imposition of the quotas on Chinese textiles may protect the textiles industry in their countries. However, as one of the biggest market for the US and the EU, the Chinese government may also impose quotas or tariffs on products from the US and the UN. So the benefits of one industry may tarnish other industries. It may also lead to the trade war in between these countries; that may hurt the growth of the world economy overall. In addition, it may damage the relationship between the countries.

Will Hong Kong survive from the conflict between the trade positions of China—its parent country and those western countries, or will Hong Kong simply become the victim of the trade war between the giants? The international business environment is always full of threat. I think the answer depends on how Hong Kong people make the right decision to solve the problems.
